Tongkinβs practice focuses on real estate, construction, property development, agro-investment, environment, petroleum downstream, trust and estate planning.
He has particular expertise in drafting agreements, which includes multi-million-dollar property sale, purchase and lease agreements, and numerous complex security documents involving real estate-based assets.
He has experiences working on different projects with certain ministries, such as Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Environment, as well as development partners/agencies and international organizations, e.g. Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) and IFC.
He obtained a Master Degree in Private International and Comparative Law from Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University in Lyon, France. He is fluent in English, Khmer and French.
From 2008 to 2013, he advised the Chairman of the Fourth Commission of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia in charge of matters relating to interior, national defense, investigation, anti-corruption, and public service. He served in the Department of the Legal Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction. Before founding ANANT Law Firm, Tongkin was Of Counsel and led Real Estate and Construction Practice at Bun & Associates. He also obtains an accredited lawyer with the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC).
