Ratana specializes in real estate law and has extensive experience in drafting agreements and providing expert legal advice on various real estate-related matters. His practice also extends to construction, asset and share deals, as well as dispute resolution.

Throughout his career, Ratana has been involved in notable deals. Some highlights include negotiating and preparing a construction contract worth over $100 million for a main contractor. He played a pivotal role in guiding a developer through a significant Build-to-Suit Lease project valued at approximately $20 million. Ratana has also handled due diligence and prepared transaction documents for share deals and asset deals involving various types of properties.

He has advised clients on the acquisition of various land plots, including land reclassification and consolidation for commercial and residential property development.

Ratana’s experience extends to cross-border transactions, where he can collaborate with foreign counsels on share deals, asset deals, and regulatory compliance. He effectively communicates with clients, in-house lawyers and public authorities on litigation matters, permits, licenses, legal affairs, and real rights registration. He has also successfully represented clients in court proceedings involving real estate, labor, and construction disputes.

Ratana’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Comparative Business Law from the University Lyon II in France. Ratana is fluent in Khmer, English, and French.
