Sinat has over a decade of experience in all aspects of taxation. This includes advising on complex domestic and international business operations, as well as tax issues resulting from mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and reorganizations.
He acts for domestic, regional, and multinational organizations from a broad range of sectors, including agriculture, banking, energy, hospitality and tourism, logistics, and manufacturing. Sinat advises these and other clients on tax-efficient approaches to achieve their strategic business objectives. This includes counseling offshore investors on the tax implications of proposed foreign direct investment, tax planning, and tax optimization, as well as maximizing the tax benefits under relevant tax laws and regulations.
Sinat also has considerable experience in representing domestic, regional, and multinational companies in tax appeals, disputes, and litigation.
Of particular note, Sinat is an acknowledged expert in the complex, highly technical areas of corporate tax, direct and indirect taxes and customs, and DTA.
Sinatβs market reputation is reinforced by his membership in a number of Cambodiaβs most influential advisory and consultative bodies. He was a founding member of the Tax Committee of Euro-Cham Cambodia (and continues to be active in this group), a member of the Tax Committee of the Government-Private Sector Working Group D on Law, Tax and Governance (GPSWG-D), and a member of the Customs-Private Sector Partnership Mechanism in Cambodia.
