For convenience of all enterprises/establishments and workers/employees, and in accordance with the Prakas on Public Holidays in 2024 dated 16 January 2024 (β€œPrakas”) from the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (β€œMLVT”), the MLVT has integrated the public holiday of Peace Day on 29 December into the annual public holiday schedule.

Any enterprises/establishments having business activities of a global nature requiring daily operation and cannot be halted, and allowing all workers/employees to take the public holidays at the same time would have negative effects on public interests or the operation of the enterprises/establishments, owners/directors of the enterprises/establishments can arrange the workers/employees to have the public holidays in a rotating manner.

In the event that there is an agreement between the employees/workers and the employer, or if there are Internal Labor Regulation of enterprises/establishments or Collective Bargaining Agreements, the public holidays can be taken on days different from the public holidays stipulated in this Prakas.

The owners/directors shall prepare a name list of employees/workers who have to take their public holidays in the rotating manner and must keep a record at all times for an inspection by labor inspectors.
During the rotating day off, the owners/directors can have other workers/employees temporarily work to replace the employees/workers who are taking public holidays.
